Save Norwich Remploy Factory Campaign: Local Remploy Factory May Face Closure

The very important and essential Remploy Factory in Norwich is at threat of closing if the Government supports the Sayce Report, which has made recommendations to close Remploy Factories.

This is dreadful news, and is a massive blow to those who have relied on Remploy. Remploy was established over 60 years ago and is undoubted one of the best and most important employers of disabled people and people who have difficult barriers getting back to work. It was established after the Second World War to employ the brave men and women who were injured while serving in the the Armed Services- they still provide this for our wounded troops today.

We, at the Norwich National Front are completely against the recommendations of the Sayce Report, and hope that the Government gain some common sense - which might be hoping a bit too much for the Lib-CON Coalition. We do not believe that the Privatisation of Remploy is for anyone’s benefit, and will in fact lead to the deterioration of employment opportunities for disabled people.

We shall be launching a campaign to gather signatures against this for a petition, and will fight to see this factory remain open and operational.

Please, if you want to help keep Remploy Factories from being closed, then contact the Norwich NF at . norwichnf@yahoo.co.uk
